In April 2024, thanks to the generous support of our donors, Jicama 89 was proud to deliver BrailleNote Touch devices to learners at Sibonile School for the Blind. These cutting-edge assistive devices give visually impaired students access to digital learning, opening up a world of educational possibilities that were previously out of reach.
Sibonile School supports 183 visually impaired and disabled learners in Johannesburg. Assistive technology like the BrailleNote Touch is not a luxury — it is an essential tool that allows these learners to participate fully in their education and build towards independent futures.
